What is ESTA?

ESTA is acronym for Electronic System for Travel Authorization. It is an online application system that determines if the applicant is eligible for travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program.
ESTA is an automated, 100% online system which determines if the applicant fulfils the conditions of the Visa Waiver Program. This authorisation is valid for travellers entering the United States by air or by sea.

Important ESTA conditions

  • Travel should be for business of pleasure
  • Travel duration should be for 90 days or less
